Statement from Jody Wagner on Bill Bolling’s decision to drop out of Thursdays Debate:

“I’m sorry that Bill has decided to play politics instead of participate in the Prince William 100 debate this Thursday as we’d both previously agreed. Despite our opposition to the last minute rule change, we offered what we hoped would be a compromise that suggested the same terms of previous down-ballot debates this year. I issued a challenge for five debates and my opponent was only willing to agree to two. I feel that it is our duty as candidates for office to show up, answer voters’ questions and discuss our different perspectives on the future of Virginia. It’s truly unfortunate that Bill has decided not to show up and I hope he reconsiders. I still plan on attending the event to show my commitment to the voters in Prince William and across the state.”
