JODY WAGNER NAMES SENIOR CAMPAIGN ADVISORS

Virginia Beach — Former Virginia Treasurer and Secretary of Finance Jody Wagner today announced that key campaign advisors to Governor Tim Kaine, former Governor Mark Warner, and Senator Jim Webb will help lead her campaign for Lt. Governor in 2009.

“I’m thrilled to have such an experienced team of advisors helping my campaign,” Wagner said. “These individuals know how to win in Virginia, and will help me spread across the Commonwealth my message of keeping Virginia on the right track.”

Mo Elleithee, Senior Advisor. Mo has worked on every major Virginia statewide campaign this decade. He served in senior communications roles on both the winning Warner and Kaine gubernatorial campaigns, as well as on the Robb for Senate campaign in 2000. In 2006 he directed the DSCC’s Independent Expenditure campaign against George Allen, and in 2007 was a senior advisor to the Democratic Party of Virginia in its efforts to help take back control of the Virginia Senate. He most recently was senior spokesman for Senator Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. He will advise the campaign on strategy and communications.

Pete Brodnitz, Pollster. Pete is recognized as one of the preeminent Democratic pollsters in the country. He did the polling for Tim Kaine’s gubernatorial campaign in 2005, as well as his campaign for Lt. Governor in 2001. He also served as pollster for Senator Jim Webb’s come-from-behind victory in 2006, and continues to poll for Congressman Rick Boucher.

Alan Moore, Direct Mail. A Senior Vice President at the Mack Crounse Group, Alan has extensive experience doing mail and managing campaigns in Virginia. Besides creating mail for the Democratic Party’s last three Coordinated Campaigns (2005, 2006 & 2007), he served as Executive Director of the Democratic Party of Virginia in 2001, directed the Democratic Coordinated Campaign for Tim Kaine in 2005, and oversaw the first ever coordinated campaign for legislative races in 2007, when Democrats picked up seats in the House and recaptured control of the Senate. He also did mail for Congressman Rick Boucher’s 2006 reelection campaign, and served as political advisor to Governor Tim Kaine in 2007.

David Eichenbaum, Media Consultant. David Eichenbaum has been a partner in Struble Eichenbaum Communications since 2000 and, together with his partner Karl Struble, has earned a reputation for winning tough races. Eichenbaum served as media consultant on Tim Kaine’s 2005 campaign for Governor and 2001 campaign for Lt. Governor. He’s also developed a national reputation for helping elect governors, senators and members of congress in red and purple states. Prior to joining the firm, Eichenbaum worked on Capitol Hill, in a variety of state and national Democratic campaigns as a press secretary and campaign manager and, in 1996, as communications director for the Democratic National Committee.

John Rohrbach, Internet Strategist. John Rohrbach was Internet Director for Tim Kaine’s successful 2005 campaign for Governor. Since founding Bullseye Interactive Media in 2006, he has worked with Moving Viriginia Forward, Forward Together PAC, the Democratic Party of Virginia, and Friends of Mark Warner. His videos have appeared in TV ads across the country for U.S. Senate candidates, and he is the lead internet strategist for the Democratic Governors Association.

Wagner expects to name additional staff and advisors in the coming weeks.
